Getting Started at Learning Station

Starting childcare is a big step for both you and your child. This page is here to help you feel prepared, supported, and confident as your family begins this new season with us. Inside, you will find guidance on what to expect during the first week, how we care for children each day, and how we help little ones adjust in a gentle and loving way. We believe that when families feel informed and at peace, children settle in more easily. We are honored to be part of your child’s journey.

A calm and confident start helps your child feel safe and supported.

How to talk to your child
Use simple, positive language. Let them know they are going to a safe place to play, eat, and be cared for, and that you will come back for them. Avoid language that sounds unsure or emotional, as children feel that energy.

What to bring
Please send your child with a full change of clothes, diapers and wipes if needed, and any comfort item used for rest time. Bottles and breastmilk should be clearly labeled.
To keep the space peaceful and safe, toys, candy, tablets, and special treats from home are not permitted.

Drop off tips
Short, calm goodbyes are best. A hug, a smile, and a confident goodbye helps your child settle more quickly than long or emotional departures.
